OUR STORY

His Story

Scott was born and raised on the farm at Craik, Saskatchewan.  Both of his parents – Carol (Barr) and Jim Vibert are from Craik.  His grandparents – Jack and Barbara Barr and Oliver and Dorothy Vibert are deceased.

Scott and his brother JJ spent much time with his Grandma Barb and Grandma Dorothy.  Scott’s love of anything with wheels started with a little ride on tractor.

As he got older you would see Scott, JJ and best friend Brian Ackland stunting on their BMX bikes – that changed when at 16 he bought his first car.  Scott’s hobbies include playing with diggers, motor biking, quadding and snowmobiling.  While going to school Scott worked Saturdays cleaning shop for Bert Wildfong and after school working for Bill Barnett at the Craik School.

When Scott finished school he went to work at Harvest Services in Craik.  For a number of years after work and on weekends he worked on the farm for Cletus and Sal Amundrud.

Our Story

Met in February 2007 at the Annual Snowmobile Derby in Liberty, SK.  A relationship began that blossomed into love and now into marriage.

Amber moved to Craik after they bought the old Tange home from out on the farm in Imperial, moved it onto the lot where they lived and spent the next year renovating their new house.

In March of 2010, Scott proposed to Amber (to which she said yes) in their little house in the backyard and the following fall they moved into their newly renovated home.

Scott bought the ring in December 2009.  He brought Amber down to have it sized on her finger, however did not officially propose for another 3 months.  The morning after he proposed, he and his buddies went to the mountains on a snowmobiling trip in hopes that when he returned, the news would have blown over by then.

4 years after the proposal, they have decided that it is time to tie the knot.
